Chapter II – Starting the Search provides a guide to implementing your chosen search strategies, the pros and cons of the various search methods (tips to interacting with agency technical recruiters, job boards, etc.), and a unique tactic dubbed actively passive search.
Chapter III – During the Search covers activity monitoring and metrics, possible reasons for poor response, phone screen and interview preparation/tactics, follow-up, and negotiating job offers.
Chapter IV – After the Search provides guidance for when you have chosen the job you want. How-to guides on offer acceptance and rejection, resignation, counteroffers (the truth and what recruiters will tell you), and methods to maximize the contacts you made while searching.
